New guidance from the Construction Leadership Council recommends that employers make face coverings available to those working close to others.

Face coverings are becoming mandatory in more public places but what does that mean for the Construction Industry?

In response to construction employers questions the Construction Leadership Council has today responded with guidance that will help to provide a consistent approach across the industry.

The Construction Leadership Council has proposed that employers make available face coverings as a minimum where workers are not required to wear PPE for their specific task and their workplace meets all of the following criteria:

•    an enclosed space;

•    where social distancing isn’t always possible; and

•    where they come into contact with others they do not normally meet.
